The psychological factor is the key to Sharjah’s victory

Sharjah team player, Firas Balarabi, confirmed that his team deserved to be crowned the UAE Super Cup after defeating Shabab Al-Ahly with a score of 3-2 in the final match held at Al Maktoum Stadium, indicating that the psychological factor was the secret word in this important victory.
Al-Sharjah had succeeded in achieving a valuable victory over Shabab Al-Ahly in the Super Cup final, winning the title despite being in 11th place in the professional league standings, while Shabab Al-Ahly lost its title, which it won last season at the expense of Al-Wasl.
Firas Balarabi said in statements to “Emirates Al-Youm”: “The match was difficult, but Sharjah deserved to win, and was in great need of this victory more than Shabab Al-Ahly, and the players played a great match by all standards.”
He added: “I hope that this victory will be a strong motivation for the team in the upcoming matches, and contribute to improving Sharjah’s image in the league championship and returning it to the normal position it deserves.”
He spoke in Arabic about the rapid impact of Portuguese coach Jose Moraes, only about 10 days after assuming the technical task, stressing that the coach succeeded in dealing with the psychological aspect of the players in a distinctive way.
He explained: “The coach had a clear influence on the team, especially psychologically. He spoke with us and confirmed that the match was normal, and that we had to play comfortably and without pressure.”
