302 horses participate in the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship 2026

The organizing committee of the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship revealed the details of the 23rd edition of the tournament, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and with the support and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, during the period from January 2 to 4, 2026 in the Al Jurf 2 area.
Ahmed Al Raisi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, confirmed during a press conference held today that the 2026 edition will witness the participation of 302 horses of the purest and most beautiful purebred Arabian breeds, owned by 203 owners, from the most famous and oldest stables in the UAE, and that the participating horses are distinguished by being crowned with local and international titles, and that the championship competitions are divided into categories of fillies, mares, colts, and stallions.
He pointed out that the preparations were completed according to the highest technical and organizational standards, with complementary efforts from the various committees, to present an exceptional version worthy of the name of Ajman and the mission of the championship in preserving the legacy of Arabian horses and enhancing their cultural and sporting presence.
He praised the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, and their continuous support for the tournament, which contributed to its success and distinction over more than two decades.
He noted that the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship has today become one of the most prominent local championships in its field, due to its role in preserving the legacy of purebred Arabian horses, highlighting their beauty and historical status, in addition to consolidating the emirate’s position in organizing and hosting this type of horse championships.
For his part, Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, the “strategic partner,” said that the tournament represents an integrated platform that reflects the emirate’s cultural and development vision, and embodies its deep connection to the history of Arabian horses.
He stressed that the growing momentum of the tournament reflects the leadership’s directives to consolidate Ajman’s position as a destination for quality events that blend authenticity and modernity.
For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, revealed that the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship this year will use the “Rabdan” electronic arbitration system, which is an advanced digital system that aims to enhance the accuracy of the results and the speed of their announcement.
He explained that the system allows grades to be entered directly via tablet devices connected to it, with complete insurance against any interference or modification to ensure fairness in the evaluation. It also relies on automatically calculating the results with the highest and lowest grades deleted, which enhances integrity and transparency, in addition to displaying the results moment by moment on the field screens and via the application and website.
He added that the tournament’s arbitration committees include 17 referees from the Arab Gulf states and the Emirates, which reflects the advanced status of the tournament at the regional level.
The organizing committee invited the public to follow the tournament, attend its activities, and enjoy the accompanying activities, which include the heritage village, artistic performances and popular songs, in addition to souvenirs for visitors, in an experience that combines the beauty of horses and the richness of heritage.
