Salah’s numbers outside the field confuse Liverpool’s calculations

Mohamed Salah made a remarkable performance in a Liverpool shirt, after leading his team to a huge 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, on Saturday, in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Egyptian star scored a goal from a penalty kick, in addition to an assist, in one of his most prominent matches during a season that has not yet met the aspirations of the Reds fans.

Despite the apparent calm outside the green rectangle, speculation continues regarding the future of Salah, who is entering the final year of his contract with the English club, amid questions about the possibility of his continuation, especially if his numbers do not improve during the next stage, in addition to developments related to the growth of his commercial power outside the field.

The British newspaper The Mirror revealed that the net assets of the Egyptian national team captain rose to 45 million pounds during the financial year ending in June 2025, an increase estimated at about 6.2 million pounds over the previous year.

She explained that these numbers reflect the success of his company responsible for managing image rights and sponsorship contracts – without counting his salary with Liverpool – which strengthens its position as a brand, which in turn is reflected in the club’s commercial returns, whether through shirt sales or public attendance, and puts the club’s management in a critical negotiating position.
