The 6th edition of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament begins on the first of Ramadan

The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament has completed its preparations for the launch of the sixth edition of the sporting event, scheduled for the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council.

This came during an expanded coordination meeting held by the committee, headed by Ahmed Al-Raisi, and in the presence of the Director of Championships and Programs, Abdulaziz Abdullah, along with the tournament supervisors and all working committees.

The committee said in a press statement: “The meeting reviewed the organizational and technical readiness, and discussed the operational plans for the tournaments and accompanying events, in addition to reviewing the roles of the work teams and the relevant committees, ensuring a smooth start that reflects the growing status of the tournament as one of the most prominent Ramadan sporting and community events in the emirate.”

The statement affirmed the Supreme Committee’s keenness to present an exceptional edition this year that combines sports competition with the spirit of the holy month, and contributes to promoting the concepts of community sports and healthy lifestyles, in addition to consolidating the values ​​of teamwork and positive communication between employees of government agencies and members of society.

It was also confirmed that preparations have been completed to organize 15 sports and community tournaments and events, including group and individual competitions, programs dedicated to women, and humanitarian and community events, which reflects the breadth and diversity of the tournament, and enhances its presence as a comprehensive sports platform during the holy month.

The committee appreciated the continuous support from partners, sponsors and supporting entities, stressing that this cooperation represents a fundamental pillar in the tournament’s sustainability and development year after year, and reflects the interest of the Emirate of Ajman in enhancing the quality of life and establishing a culture of community participation.
