Launched The Saudi Red Sea AuthorityThe introductory guide for coastal tourism activities, in a qualitative step aimed at unifying the regulatory and informational reference for coastal activities, and enabling tourists, investors and practitioners to access all relevant systems and procedures via one central electronic platform, in a way that enhances the attractiveness of the sector and raises the efficiency of the beneficiary’s experience.
The guide came to play the role of a “comprehensive window” that addresses the dispersion of information and the multiplicity of its sources, as it puts in the hands of beneficiaries integrated content that includes the updated conditions, requirements, and procedures in one place, with a clear organization that reduces time and effort, and transforms the research journey into a smooth and reliable digital experience, supported by procedural instructions, frequently asked questions, and illustrative recommendations of what is permitted and prohibited in a direct indicative manner.
The Authority launched the first series of the guide specializing in yachting activity, as it provides a clear practical path for the yacht’s journey from arrival to departure, including the necessary regulatory procedures, documents, licenses and permits, and the mechanism for determining the port of arrival from a port or marina and confirming it through the licensed agent, in addition to listing the approved service providers from tourist navigation agents, yacht rental companies and tourist marinas, with safety guidelines and environmental sustainability requirements.
The guide keeps pace with regulatory requirements through periodic updates that guarantee the protection of the beneficiary, and clarify the mechanisms for receiving comments and complaints according to the jurisdiction of the relevant authorities, while the safety system is completed through the specific insurance program “Challenge”, which is specifically designed to cover the risks of Coastal tourism activities, which enhances confidence and raises the level of safety in the tourism experience.
The guide also includes a variety of marine destinations along the Red Sea, supported by proposals for yacht itineraries and tourist lines, combining marine adventure, environmental experiences and cultural destinations, with the identification of refueling anchorages, to form a guiding reference that supports advance planning and enhances the quality of the experience.
The guide gains its importance from being an essential pillar for empowering the coastal tourism activities sector, one of the main drivers of tourism, as its launch was the result of intensive coordination efforts led by the Authority with the relevant authorities, to ensure the integration of roles, and to provide an attractive tourism and investment environment that supports the accelerated growth of the sector, and is in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Authority confirmed that the guide represents a unified reference for various coastal tourism activities, contributing to facilitating the beneficiary’s journey, facilitating the procedures of service providers, and providing direct information to the investor, calling on those interested to benefit from it as the approved compass for practicing activities or investing in coastal tourism.
