The conclusion of the fifth race for purebred Arabian horses at Al Ain Racecourse

Al Ain, January 4 / WAM / The fifth race of the season for purebred Arabian horses concluded yesterday evening at the Al Ain Equestrian Club track, with 7 rounds, with total prizes amounting to 600 thousand dirhams.
The competitions resulted in Yas Racing horses winning a double with the mare “Ajwaa” and the horse “Tariq”, and the colt “ES Shaddad” by Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi achieved his first victory.
The mare “Ajwaa”, under the supervision of Eric Lemartnell and driven by Jules Mobien, topped the first half, a distance of 1,800 metres, for purebred “beginner” Arabian horses aged 4 years and above, and its prizes were 70,000 dirhams.
The lead in the fourth half, for a distance of 1,800 metres, went to “Tariq”, under the supervision of Majed Al-Jahouri and led by Silvestre de Sousa. It was allocated to purebred Arabian horses “lists” aged 5 years and above, and its prizes were 150 thousand dirhams.
The horse “Uptown Walk the Line” by Abu Dhabi Racing, supervised by Salem Al Marar and driven by Sandro Paiva, outperformed his competitors in the second half, over a distance of 1,800 metres, for purebred Arabian horses aged 4 years and above, and his prizes were 70,000 dirhams.
The filly, “Noria de l’Agleit,” by Hamad Ali Al-Taie, under the supervision of Ibrahim Al-Hadrami, and led by Abdulaziz Al-Balushi, was set to win in the third heat, over a distance of 1,800 metres, for purebred “beginner” Arabian horses, 4 years old, with prizes of 70,000 dirhams.
The colt “ES Shaddad” by Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, under the supervision of Ibrahim Aseel and led by Sandro Paiva, dominated the fifth race, over a distance of 1,600 metres, for beginner purebred Arabian horses, “Emirates Breed”, aged 4 years and above, and its prizes are 70 thousand dirhams.
“Azzam” by Ali Haddad, under the supervision of Qais Abboud, and led by Sandro Paiva, achieved a “triple” in the sixth heat, over a distance of 1,600 metres, for purebred Arabian horses, aged 4 years, and its prizes were 85 thousand dirhams.
“Al Laith” by Laith Racing, supervised by Ahmed Al Muhairbi and led by Richard Mullen, concluded the evening by winning the seventh heat for a distance of 1000 metres, for purebred Arabian horses aged 5 years and above, with prizes of 85 thousand dirhams.
The winners were crowned at the conclusion of the race activities by Saeed Al Muhairi, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Ali Farouk, Director of Equestrian Sports at Al Ain Club.
