Conclusion of the Third International Conference for Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance 2026 in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 5 JUNE / WAM / The Third International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance 2026 concluded its work in Abu Dhabi after three days of intense intellectual, diplomatic and scientific discussions that brought together an elite group of officials, parliamentarians, decision-makers, academics and experts from various countries of the world, under the slogan “The Impact of New Media and Artificial Intelligence on the Family and Society.”
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ammar bin Nasser Al Mualla, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies, stressed the importance of scientific research as a fundamental pillar for building societies and promoting sustainable development, pointing to the pivotal role of the family and education in preparing generations and enabling them to keep pace with the rapid transformations the world is witnessing. At the same time, he appreciated the importance of the conference in promoting intellectual dialogue and exchanging experiences and knowledge between different cultures and civilizations.
Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Researchers Center, delivered a closing speech in which he reviewed the most prominent outcomes of the conference and the rich scientific and knowledge dialogues it witnessed, and officially announced the conference title for 2027: “The Fourth International Conference on Dialogue and Humanity.”
The closing day witnessed a discussion session entitled “Challenges and Solutions for Coexistence among Civilizations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” during which participants discussed the most prominent challenges imposed by modern technologies on understanding between peoples, and mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence to enhance the values of human dialogue in a way that serves the family and society.
The conference came up with a set of recommendations that focused on enhancing the role of academic and research institutions in studying the effects of artificial intelligence on the family and society, developing ethical frameworks for the use of modern technologies, and supporting educational and media initiatives aimed at consolidating the values of understanding between different cultures.
The closing ceremony included the announcement of the Best International Research Award, which was awarded to His Excellency Alessandro Bertoldi, founder and CEO of AB Group and the Milton Friedman Institute, from the Republic of Italy in recognition of his research efforts and distinguished scientific contributions to the conference.
The conference concluded by honoring the media institutions, supporting bodies, strategic partners and participants who contributed to the success of the conference, in appreciation of their role in supporting its message.
The conference’s Supreme Committee confirmed that the outputs and recommendations will form the basis for more scientific and research initiatives and programs during the next phase, which will contribute to building bridges of communication between civilizations and enabling the responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence to serve humanity and society.
