Chelsea announces the appointment of Rossinior as technical director

Chelsea Football Club announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as its new technical director, with a contract extending until 2032.
Rossinho, 41, revealed earlier today, during a farewell press conference for the French Strasbourg team, that he “verbally agreed” to replace Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
The British news agency, PA Media, reported that the deal was completed quickly, as the coach returns to English football after previous periods in which he led Derby and Hull.
Rossignor said on the club’s official website: “I feel very humbled and proud to be appointed coach of the Chelsea Football Team.”
He added: “This is a club with a unique spirit and a long history of winning titles. My mission is to preserve this identity and build a team that reflects these values in every match we play, while we continue to win titles.”
He stressed: “Being assigned this role means a lot to me, and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this opportunity and gave me the confidence to perform this task. I will do everything in my power to achieve the success that this club deserves.”
