Dubai Roads enhances the public transportation network by launching 4 new bus lines

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public transportation services and facilitate the movement of the public from various segments of society, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority is launching (4) new public bus lines, starting from January 9. This initiative aims to support the operational efficiency of the public transport network in the emirate, in addition to developing 70 other internal transport bus lines, in terms of modifications to bus routes and geographical coverage during the morning and evening peak periods.
This initiative also falls within the Authority’s efforts and keenness to meet the needs of public bus riders, by providing discreet services that are consistent with the Authority’s vision of global leadership in easy and sustainable transportation.
The four new lines will operate as follows:
• Line 88A operates in one direction from Satwa Bus Station to Jumeirah 3 during morning peak hours to support efficient operation on Line 88.
• Line 88B runs in the opposite direction from Jumeirah 3 to Satwa Bus Station during evening peak hours to support efficient operation on Line 88.
• Line 93A operates in one direction from Satwa Bus Station to Al Wasl area during morning peak hours to support efficient operation on Line 93.
• Line 93B runs in the opposite direction from Al Wasl area to Satwa Bus Station during evening peak hours to enhance operating efficiency on Line 93.
Develop other lines
On the same date, the Authority will develop bus routes, and these development works include: amending trip times, changes to the sequence of line stops / correcting distances, changing line schedules (including minor modifications), changes to accommodation stations and other changes, which will raise the level of this service, and improve the daily commute for passengers to make their daily trip full of comfort, through the following amendments:
• Line 6: Adding two additional stops at the Dubai Center for People of Determination and the Mayo Clinic.
• Line 13A: Extending service to Al Muhaisnah 2, Street 7.
• Line 16: Cancellation of the bus stop in the Al Awir area.
• Line 29: canceling the bus stop: (Emirates Towers – 1), and adding the bus stop: (Museum of the Future).
• Line 55: Extension of the line in International City to the Greek Quarter K12.
• Line C09: Cancellation of bus stops: (Oxygen Dubai 2), (Gargash Motors 2), and (Renault Service Center 2).
• Line C15 and F01: canceling the bus stop: (Al Baraha Mosque 2), and adding a new bus stop: (Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Street) before D 82.
• Line F39: Extending the route of the line to reach the Oud Al Muteena area, and adding new bus stops: (Oud Al Muteena 2 and 1), (Oud Al Muteena Mosque 2), and (Oud Al Muteena 2 B1), with the cancellation of the bus stop: (Algeria Street 6-1).
• Line F46: Cancellation of two bus stops in the Green Malls: (Choitram Supermarket Stop 2) and (Green Malls Stop, Main Entrance Gate 2).
• Line F54: Changing the bus route to serve the Jebel Ali Free Zone South Residences (Jafza) and: (Bus stops on Handling Street 1), (Handling Street 2), and (Handling Street 3) will be cancelled.
• Line F55: Expanding the service to include additional areas in the Dubai World Central cargo area with the addition of two new stops.
• DH1 line: Bus stop cancelled: (Dubai Hills Mall Storm Coaster).
• Lines 12 93,: Cancellation of the bus stop: (Umm Suqeim Etisalat).
• Line 18: Adding two new bus stops on Street 7A, Al Nahda Lake Park, and Street 7A, MSB Private School.
• Line 31: Dubai Academic City 2 bus stop cancelled.
• Line 83: Cancellation of the Shatha Tower bus stop.
• Lines 21B, F26A: Cancellation of Al-Talaa Technical Industries 1 bus stop.
• Line 36B: Adding a new bus stop in Dubai Outsourcing City: (Royal Bank of Scotland 1).
• Line F10: Cancellation of the Al Warqaa bus stop. E-21
• Line F61: Adding a bus stop for Al Jasmi Mosque 1.
• Line 320: Adding a Dubai Outsourcing City bus stop: (Fogo Grand Hotel).
• Lines E100, E201 – Moving the bus stop at Max Metro Station from Metro Max Bus Stop South 2 to Al Jafiliya Bus Station.
This step is being implemented within the framework of facilitating movement on the public transportation network, and improving the passenger journey by reducing waiting times and providing additional trips at times of high demand.
