Trump: Venezuela will deliver 50 million barrels of oil to the United States


US President Donald Trump said that the acting Venezuelan government would deliver up to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States, and that the proceeds would be under his administration as president.
Trump said on his platform "Truth Social": "Acting authorities in Venezuela will hand over 30 to 50 million barrels of high-quality, sanctioned oil to the United States."
He added: "This oil will be sold at market price, and I, as President of the United States of America, will administer those funds to ensure that they are used for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the United States."
