Alba sets a record high in aluminum production in 2025 and exceeds the annual target

Aluminum Bahrain (Alba), the largest single-site aluminum smelter in the world, recorded a production record of 1,623,139 metric tons during the year 2025 (compared to 1,622,261 metric tons in 2024), exceeding the targeted annual production despite the challenges resulting from the industrial fire incident at the end of last year. This achievement confirms the flexibility and discipline of Alba’s operations and the company’s commitment to sustainable growth.
The company concluded the year 2025 by recording more than 42 million working hours without any lost-time injuries, thus achieving an unprecedented achievement by recording two consecutive years without any lost-time injuries in all its operations – for the first time in the company’s five-decade history.
The company’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, praised the dedicated efforts of the company’s employees and contractor workers, saying: “This achievement is more than just setting a production record, but rather reflects our ability to overcome challenges and set new standards in operational performance and safety. We will continue to build on this success to push our performance to higher levels, and unleash the hidden potential of our employees and operations. I would like to express my pride and gratitude to everyone who contributed to making 2025 a historic year for Alba.”
Looking to the near future, Alba will continue to enhance its operational capabilities through internal development initiatives in order to drive sustainable improvement efforts in production and operational efficiency.
