"Sharjah Research and Technology" Signs a strategic agreement with "Mia-com" To enhance digital transformation

Sharjah, January 14 / WAM / The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with “Mia-Com”, with the aim of accelerating digital transformation in vital sectors and government agencies, in a way that supports the growth of the digital economy and enhances national competitiveness.
The agreement focuses on developing innovative models of partnership between the public and private sectors, and supporting digital transformation in strategic sectors including public utilities, energy, oil and gas, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, and critical communications systems, which contributes to accelerating the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution applications.
Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate with local and international partners to adopt the latest digital technologies, including advanced private communications networks, the Industrial Internet of Things, digital twin platforms, and smart systems supported by artificial intelligence, with the aim of providing a secure, scalable, and future-ready digital infrastructure.
Dr. Farid Al Amiri, Executive Director of Strategy at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, said that the partnership reflects the park’s commitment to supporting transformative innovation and building digital capabilities, by establishing a joint center of excellence that contributes to developing competencies and enhancing Sharjah’s position as a regional center for advanced technologies.
Dr. Abdul Hadi Abu Al-Mal, CEO of Mia-Com, stressed that the agreement represents an important step to accelerate practical digital transformation, by employing the company’s expertise in emerging technologies and private communications networks to provide high-impact solutions that support the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The partnership is consistent with the UAE’s national agenda for innovation and digital leadership, especially in light of the formation of the National Committee for Sixth Generation (6G) Technologies, and also supports the development of future communications systems and flexible digital systems.
The establishment of a center of excellence for emerging technologies and new-generation digital infrastructure is one of the main axes of the agreement, as it will contribute to building capabilities, developing talent, empowering government agencies and institutions, and supporting small and medium-sized companies, thus enhancing the UAE’s position as a global center for innovation in advanced communications technologies and artificial intelligence.
