Mohammed bin Zayed University of Human Sciences is looking to enhance cooperation with Ethiopian academic institutions
ABU DHABI, 14 JANUARY / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Director of Mohammed Bin Zayed University for the Humanities, discussed with His Excellency Dr. Jamal Bakr Abdullah, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the country at the university’s headquarters, ways to enhance cultural and academic cooperation between the university and Ethiopian academic institutions, in addition to discussing joint initiatives and programs that contribute to consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador was briefed on the university’s academic programmes, scientific courses and initiatives in various fields of human sciences, which include Islamic studies, languages, philosophy, ethics and the promotion of the values of tolerance and coexistence.
Learn about the university’s efforts in scientific research by hosting many scientific conferences, workshops, and discussion panels that bring together researchers from all over the world to exchange the results of their research on topics related to peace and development issues.
His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri affirmed the university’s welcome to redoubling efforts to strengthen scientific and cultural partnerships with the Ethiopian side, and to open broader horizons for scientific and knowledge cooperation, especially in light of the existing and ongoing positive relations between the two countries.
He said that the visit of the Ethiopian ambassador comes within the framework of the vision of Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities, to enhance international cooperation and academic and cultural partnerships with higher education institutions around the world, exchange experiences and knowledge, and strengthen common ties with them.
