The first appearance of Egypt’s legendary coach Hassan Shehata after surgery

The historic coach of the Egyptian national team and Zamalek club legend, Hassan Shehata, appeared today in a stable health condition, in his first appearance after undergoing surgery, at a time when several rumors circulated about his death, which were launched by followers on social media platforms.
This evening, the Egyptian Ministry of Sports published, through its official account on the Facebook platform, pictures of Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi’s visit to teacher Hassan Shehata at his home in the presence of his son Karim.
Hassan Shehata, the coach who led the Egyptian national team to historic crowns in the African Cup of Nations in three consecutive editions: 2006, 2008 and 2010, is going through an emergency health crisis as a result of stomach problems and underwent a delicate surgery that lasted 13 hours.
Hassan Shehata, born in 1947, played with Zamalek Club and coached the team on more than one occasion. He also supervised other clubs, including the Arab Contractors, but his experience coaching the Egyptian national team was the most prominent in his career between 2004 and 2011.
