Brisite signs a contract to implement the Smart State program powered by artificial intelligence in Albania

Tirana, January 15, 2017 – PreSight, the global big data analytics and artificial intelligence company, announced the signing of a strategic agreement with the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Albania to implement its national “Smart State” program powered by artificial intelligence.

The program aims to provide advanced infrastructure for new generation smart cities in 20 cities and 28 international border points nationwide, thus strengthening Albania’s commitment to accelerating the pace of digital transformation and consolidating its position among the most advanced European countries in adopting technology.

Under the official announcement of the agreement, PreSight will deploy an integrated smart city platform powered by artificial intelligence, designed to digitize, improve and coordinate essential public services.

The initiative includes managing real-time operations, enhancing mobility and traffic systems, improving emergency response coordination, and establishing an advanced command and control framework that supports institutional capabilities and enhances community well-being.

Her Excellency Albana Koccio, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Albania, said: “This national infrastructure program represents a strategic investment in the long-term safety, resilience and modernization of Albania’s cities, and through collaboration with PreSite, we are employing world-class expertise in artificial intelligence to enhance public services, improve institutional efficiency, and improve the daily experience of our citizens.”

Thomas Pramutidham, CEO of Brisight, explained that Albania is presenting through this program one of the most ambitious smart national transformation initiatives in Europe.
