“The Text” by Ahmed Amin.. a renewed series on the “Abu Dhabi” screen in Ramadan 2026
Abu Dhabi Channel continues to re-show the series “The Text”, by the Egyptian star Ahmed Amin, which was shown for the first time in the Ramadan 2025 drama season, in preparation for showing the second season in Ramadan 2026, which will start in the middle of next February, as the “Abu Dhabi Media Network” presented its fans with a group of exclusive programs and series, during the nights of the holy month.
The events of the series “The Text” take place in the 1930s, and it tells the story of the life of “Abdulaziz Al-Nos,” played by the artist Ahmed Amin. He transforms from a mere notorious pickpocket into a popular hero, after establishing a national resistance movement against the English occupation, in which many people from different sectors of society join. The series is based on a book called “The Memoirs of a Pickpocket,” by journalist Hosni Youssef, who met “Abdel Aziz” at the headquarters of the newspaper “Lisan al-Shaab” in 1924, to tell him the story of his life.

In its new season, the series will be titled “The Second Text,” and it will consist of 15 episodes, and its events will take place ten years after the end of the events of the first part, where viewers will be transported to a completely different atmosphere, as its events begin in 1942, in the midst of the “Second World War,” diving into the world of espionage, conspiracies, and surprises, where tragedy and suspense prevail in the dramatic plot.
The second season of the series maintains the stars of the first part, namely: Ahmed Amin “Abdulaziz Al-Nos”, Hamza Al-Aili “Darwish”, Asmaa Abu Al-Yazid “Rasmiya”, Abdel Rahman Muhammad “Zaqzouq”, Michel Milad “Ismail”, and Sedqi Sakhr “Alawi”, and new human dimensions emerge through the character “Aisha, wife of Al-Nos”, whose role is played by Donia Sami, and their son “Mansour”, which adds a dose of drama. Mixing action with emotion. The series is written and dialogued by Abdel Rahman Gawish, Sherif Abdel Fattah, and Wajih Sabry, and directed by Hossam Ali.
The character of “Abdulaziz Al-Nus”, embodied by the artist Ahmed Amin, did not have distinctive features, but his life was full of interesting stories, as he began his path with pickpocketing at the hands of one of his top professionals, “Mahmoud Daqdaq”, before he moved away from the world of crime, and turned to trade, then he found himself facing the occupiers, driven by a burning sense of patriotism.
