Moraes asks the Sharjah Technical Committee for more than one player in the winter

Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club, Obaid Al Shamsi, revealed that Sharjah is close to announcing the signing of new players to support the team during the current winter transfer period, stressing the club’s management’s keenness to provide all the requirements that support the team at this stage.

Al Shamsi pointed out that the club’s technical committee held a meeting with Portuguese coach Jose Moraes to determine its needs and requirements for the next stage, noting that the coach requested support for the team with more than one player, without specifying specific names, stressing at the same time great confidence in the team’s ability to quickly return to its natural place at the front. He explained that the club management is working hard to ensure that the team returns stronger and better.

Al Shamsi told Emirates Today: “There is a technical committee in the club consisting of five coaches, and it has already met with Moraes to agree on the names of the players proposed, and make the final decision regarding contracting with them, according to the needs identified by the coach, and I expect that the new names will appear soon with the team.”

He added: “The board of directors of the club’s football company in turn prepared the players’ centers based on the coach’s request in this regard, and certainly the football company is keen to provide all the tools that help the coach in performing his duties.”

Al Shamsi pointed out that “the discussions that took place regarding the names proposed for contract aim to reduce the margin of error as much as possible.”

Sharjah fans are looking forward to supporting the team’s ranks with new elements, especially since the team is facing important competitions, whether in local competitions or in the AFC Champions League for elite clubs, as the team awaits two important matches in the group stage, on the ninth and 16th of next November, against Al-Duhail of Qatar and Nasaf of Uzbekistan, respectively, in the seventh and eighth rounds.

Obaid Al Shamsi stressed that “the team is going through a new phase, especially after hiring a new coach who needs specific tools to help him reach the desired goals,” noting that “the team is in dire need of the fans’ support in this difficult time.” He stressed the importance of solidarity among everyone so that Sharjah returns to its usual level.

The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club stressed that the results of the work carried out by the club need more time to be better reflected in the team’s performance.
