Mansour bin Zayed receives Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and they witness part of the Arabian Horse Tour competitions

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Cabinet, received today Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of the Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, who is visiting the country on the sidelines of the Arabian Horse Tour hosted by the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, with the participation of an elite group of breeders, owners and studs from various countries of the world.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani exchanged cordial conversations that reflect the depth of brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries. The two parties also witnessed part of the activities of the second day of the Arabian Horse Tour Championship for the 2026 season, which is being held for the first time in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State, and a number of sheikhs, their excellencies and senior officials.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and his accompanying delegation had arrived earlier at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi and were received by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Highness welcomed the guest, expressing his happiness at receiving him on the soil of the United Arab Emirates.

It is worth noting that the Abu Dhabi Tour (the opening round) of the 2026 season began yesterday, Friday, and will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, with the participation of 162 elite purebred Arabian horses, while the total value of the financial prizes exceeds one million US dollars, in an indicator that reflects the high level of the tournament and its high competitive value.

The holding of the championship embodies the fruit of constructive and fruitful cooperation between the Emirates Arabian Horse Association and the Arabian Horse Tour, as this coordination contributes to providing an integrated professional model in terms of organization, judging, and technical standards, which enhances the confidence of owners and breeders, and raises the status of Arabian horse beauty championships on the international scene.
