Schools measure parents’ satisfaction with plans to support “lowly” achieving students

Public and private schools that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum are evaluating the parent meetings that took place recently to discuss student results, explain developments in the second semester, and measure their parental opinions about the academic support plans designated for low-level students.
In detail, schools launched an electronic survey directed to parents, with the aim of measuring their opinions about the Parents Council meeting for the second semester, which was held to discuss the results of the first semester and review the academic support plans allocated to students who obtained less than 60 marks in the ministerial test.
According to the letters addressed to parents, which were seen by Emirates Today, the meeting focused on two main axes: presenting and analyzing the results of the first semester in a way that helps identify the students’ strengths and needs, and the second clarifying the support plans that will be provided to students whose results are less than 60 in the ministerial test, including follow-up procedures, strengthening mechanisms, and proposed remedial programs to ensure improved performance during the second semester.
The schools invited parents to participate in the questionnaire via a dedicated electronic link, stressing that participation contributes to improving the quality of future meetings and developing the educational services provided to students, especially in the stage of therapeutic support and raising the level.
This survey comes within the framework of schools’ keenness to strengthen communication channels with families, benefit from parents’ feedback to develop follow-up and support mechanisms, and increase the effectiveness of school meetings that deal with the level of academic achievement and improvement plans.
