المملكة: Environment of the Holy Capital.. A campaign against the central fish market for product safety


Health requirements, through an inspection tour on The Central Fish Market in Kakiyya, which included fish frying restaurants located within the scope of the market.

‏The campaign aimed to follow up on the progress of work, verify compliance with approved health standards, and ensure the safety and quality of the products offered to consumers, as a number of stores were inspected, and the tour resulted in monitoring (9) violations, in addition to confiscating and destroying (160) kilograms of spoiled fish.

‏Safety of tools

The director of the Ministry’s office in the Holy Capital, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Haterashi, explained that the oversight work includes ensuring the quality of the fish and its suitability for human consumption, reviewing regulatory documents, and verifying the safety of tools and equipment used in handling and processing.


‏Al-Hatiershi stressed the importance of integrating oversight roles with community awareness, He called on citizens and residents to report any observations related to the quality of products or non-compliance with health requirements, stressing that food safety is one of the Ministry’s priorities, because of its direct impact on consumers’ health and quality of life.
