Elvira Diangani Oseh is the artistic director of the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Public Art Biennial

ABU DHABI, January 20 / WAM / The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced the appointment of Elvira Diangani Oseh as artistic director of the second session of the Abu Dhabi Public Art Biennale, which begins in the fall of 2026 and continues until 2027.

This edition comes to complement the success achieved by the inaugural edition of the Biennale, which transformed Abu Dhabi into an open platform for public art and cultural and community dialogue throughout the emirate.

The first session was held between November 15, 2024 and April 30, 2025 in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and witnessed the participation of artists from the Emirates and the world, who presented site-specific installation works, a number of which were acquired to remain as permanent public works of art.

Elvira Diangani Osé is currently Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Barcelona (MACABA) and is considered one of the most prominent curators on the international scene. She previously held leadership positions in prestigious art institutions, including The Show Room Foundation in London. She also worked as a curator at Tate Modern and Creative Time, and was the general curator of the eighth session of the Gothenburg International Biennial of Contemporary Art.
