campaign "Your home is a trust" Promotes safety and community preparedness
ABU DHABI, January 21 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority launched the “Your Home is Amanah” campaign, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public safety, establish a culture of prevention, and raise the level of community preparedness to protect lives and property.
The campaign focuses on promoting safe behaviors inside homes, raising awareness of common household risks, ways to prevent kitchen fires, safe handling of electrical appliances, introducing the types of fire extinguishers and the importance of smoke detectors, in addition to the safety requirements of senior citizens, and the safety associated with electric cars.
“Darkom Amanah” contributes to spreading awareness of the basics of first aid, and how to behave properly when fires are discovered in their early stages, thus enhancing the speed of response and reducing the exacerbation of risks.
The campaign includes carrying out inspection and preventive visits to buildings and facilities, aiming to verify compliance with safety requirements, monitoring and addressing potential risks, in addition to organizing evacuation exercises to raise the readiness of individuals and facilities and enhance the speed of response in emergency situations, in addition to organizing awareness workshops and lectures.
The campaign also includes disseminating guidance messages through the Authority’s digital platforms, strategic partners’ platforms, and the media, in addition to the screens of commercial centers, residential buildings, and cinemas, ensuring that awareness messages reach various segments of society.
The Authority stressed that the campaign comes within an integrated preventive approach that enhances community partnership and enshrines the concept of shared responsibility, thus contributing to building a safer and more sustainable society.
