165 male and female shooters from 26 countries are participating in the Abu Dhabi Championship "Grand Prize" For shooting shotguns

Al Ain, January 21 / WAM / The organizing committee of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Shotgun Shooting Championship announced the participation of 165 male and female shooters from 26 countries in its competitions organized by the Emirates Shooting Federation, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain region.
She confirmed in a statement today that the tournament, which is being hosted by Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club during the period from January 22 to 30, will witness the participation of 26 male and female shooters from the Emirates, in addition to shooters from Arab and Gulf countries and the rest of the world.
She revealed that 15 international referees have been approved to manage its competitions, including 6 from the Emirates, and that the shooters will begin arriving in the Al Ain region starting tomorrow, Thursday, in preparation for engaging in the first training for skeet shooters over the course of Friday and Saturday, leading to the start of the competitions for this category on January 25 and 26, followed by training for “dirt” shooters on January 27 and 28, to compete in their competitions on January 29 and 30.
His Excellency Mohammed Suhail Al Neyadi, President of the UAE Shooting Federation, said that the tournament is one of the first international competitive events that will witness the application of international laws and regulations with their new updates, approved within the agenda of the International Federation.
He added that the keenness of Luciano Rossi, President of the International Shooting Federation, to attend the tournament’s activities, and his scheduled presence at the press conference next Saturday, embody the high international interest in this tournament.
He pointed to full coordination with the strategic partners in the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police, to implement the highest standards of security and safety, and for the competition fields to pass all auditing and accreditation procedures by Mohammed Wahdan, Chairman of the Shotgun Committee of the International Shooting Federation.
