Ahmed Hossam “Mido” was banned from appearing in the media for two months due to his statements about the Egyptian national team

The Egyptian Supreme Council for Media Regulation decided to oblige all media outlets subject to the provisions of Law No. 180 of 2018 to ban the appearance of former player Ahmed Hossam Mido for two months.
This decision comes due to statements made by Mido that were offensive and questioned the sporting achievements achieved by the Egyptian team during the period from 2006 to 2010.
The Supreme Council for Egyptian Media Regulation stated, through its official account on the social networking site (Facebook), today, Thursday, that this decision comes based on what was monitored by the Council’s General Department of Monitoring, the recommendations of the Sports Media Performance Control Committee, and also after a hearing session with Ahmed Hossam Mido, during which he expressed his responses regarding the aforementioned topic.
