The UAE and Malaysia enhance cooperation in combating corruption through a memorandum of understanding

The Emirates Accountability Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Authority, aiming to enhance cooperation in the field of combating corruption, consolidating the principles of transparency and integrity, and enhancing joint action to combat corruption, within the framework of strengthening joint cooperation relations between the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.

This came during the reception of the Chairman of the Emirates Accounting Authority, Hamid Obaid Abu Shabas, the Chairman of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Authority, Tan Sri Azam Bin Baki, and his accompanying delegation, at the agency’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The memorandum aims to consolidate joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating corruption, exchange experiences and knowledge, and benefit from international best practices in supporting anti-corruption and good governance efforts.

This step reflects the keenness of both sides to strengthen international partnerships in a way that contributes to protecting public resources, consolidating the principles of accountability and transparency, and strengthening anti-corruption efforts in the two countries.
