Al-Nasr defeats “Homs Al-Fidaa” and qualifies for the quarter-finals of “Dubai Basket”

American professional Marvell Harris led the Al-Nasr team to an exciting victory, after scoring a decisive shot in the final seconds, turning the score in his team’s favor by one point (101-100) at the expense of its guest, the Syrian “Homs Al-Fida”, in the match that brought them together today, Wednesday, at the end of the first group competitions of the group league of the Dubai International Basketball Championship, currently being held in its 35th edition at the Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Hall in Dubai, and the curtain on its competitions will come down next Sunday evening.

This victory gave Al-Nasr team the last qualifying card from the first group to the quarter-finals, after it finished the preliminary round in fourth place, equal in score with “Homs Al-Fidaa” with five points each, from one win and three losses. However, the difference in the confrontations tipped the balance in favor of “Al-Ameed”, while the loss led to “Homs Al-Fidaa” exit from the tournament.

Al-Nasr played the match in the absence of its playmaker, Saleh Sultan, but its players succeeded in leading the team to achieve its best result in its participation in the Dubai International Championship, after the third attempt resulted in reaching the quarter-finals.
