Sports relations between the UAE and Kuwait are “well-established and deeply rooted”

The Minister of Sports, Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, affirmed that the fraternal and sporting relations between the UAE and Kuwait are well-established and rooted, and are based on deep historical and human ties, and reflect the special position that the State of Kuwait occupies among the leadership and people of the UAE, and constitute an advanced model in joint Arab action.
Al Falasi said on the sidelines of a sports and community celebration held in Dubai that falls within the activities of the “UAE and Kuwait… Brothers Forever” week: “The celebration comes within the framework of celebrating the historical relations that bring together the two brotherly countries, and embodies the strength of the fraternal ties between them. It also highlights the positive role of sport as an effective platform for rapprochement between peoples, consolidating the values ​​of brotherhood and integration, and supporting initiatives with a societal and humanitarian dimension.”
The Minister of Sports added that “investing in Arab youth and talent is a national priority,” stressing that “sport is one of the most important paths that contribute to building humanity, developing skills, and enhancing national belonging and identity,” noting that “the UAE will continue to support partnerships and initiatives that serve sports and society, contribute to empowering talent, expanding the base of participation, and enhancing the Arab sports presence at the regional and international levels.”
The celebration was held with the participation of the UAE Athletics Federation and the Arab Talent Support Organization, and was organized by the Ultimate Power Solutions Group, the official sponsor of the celebration, and in the presence of a number of elite sports leaders and community figures.
The celebration witnessed the presence of representatives of the UAE Athletics Federation, who through their participation confirmed the federation’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to the development of athletics, expanding the base of practice, and creating a stimulating environment for discovering promising energies, in cooperation with partners from inside and outside the country.
For his part, Major General Mohammed Al Murr, President of the UAE Athletics Federation, stressed that “this event reflects the distinguished position occupied by Emirati-Kuwaiti relations, which are based on solid foundations of sincere brotherhood, mutual respect and shared history,” noting that “sport constitutes one of the most important tributaries of rapprochement between the two brotherly peoples of the UAE and the State of Kuwait.”
Major General Al-Murr explained that “the UAE Athletics Federation is keen to support fraternal initiatives between the UAE and Kuwait, especially those that contribute to developing sports, expanding the base of practice, and discovering promising talents,” stressing that “cooperation with Arab organizations concerned with supporting talents contributes to creating real opportunities for young athletes to excel and develop.”
He added, “Such events enhance the societal role of sports and contribute to consolidating positive values ​​among new generations,” pointing out that “sport is no longer limited to competition only, but has become a platform for building people and enhancing identity and belonging.”

Al-Nabulsi: We believe in the role of sports in strengthening brotherly and cohesive relations
