"Mohammed bin Rashid for Government Administration": Artificial intelligence enhances performance efficiency and raises the quality of services

Dubai, 5 February / WAM / Dr. Yasar Jarrar, a member of the Board of Trustees at the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government, confirmed that the biggest challenge that governments face today in the field of artificial intelligence is no longer just technical, but has become human, indicating that reskilling civil service employees and qualifying them to deal with artificial intelligence technologies has become a basic necessity to ensure the success of digital transformation in government work.
Jarrar told the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2026 in Dubai, that artificial intelligence has become a second language in government work, and those who do not master it face great difficulty in keeping pace with digital transformations, stressing that building human capabilities is the basic foundation for applying these technologies and harnessing them in providing government services efficiently and effectively.
He pointed out that within this framework, an Arabic program was launched in cooperation between the Mohammed bin Rashid Government College, the University of Oxford, and UNESCO to develop the skills of government employees in artificial intelligence. He explained that the program is free and allows online learning for all government employees in Arab countries and Arabic-speaking countries, with a focus on continuous learning and relearning every six months to keep pace with technological developments.
Jarrar added that technology and artificial intelligence have become enabling tools that provide access to any employee who owns a phone or computer, making training programs more comprehensive and effective compared to traditional methods that used to take years to qualify employees.
He explained that artificial intelligence will not be limited to the technical aspect only, but will be part of practical solutions to address complex government challenges, contributing to enhancing the efficiency of government performance and raising the quality of services provided to citizens.
