The Head of State and the President of Kosovo discuss strengthening relations between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Dr. Vjosa Osmani, President of the Republic of Kosovo, discussed today various aspects of the relations of the two countries and the prospects for developing them, especially in the economic and development fields, for the benefit of their peoples.
This came during the reception by His Highness the President of the State – at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi – the President of Kosovo, who is on a working visit to the country during which she participated in the World Government Summit 2026. His Highness welcomed her and congratulated her on the anniversary of independence, which falls on the seventeenth of this February, wishing her country and its people further progress and development.
The two sides stressed their mutual keenness to continue strengthening economic, trade and investment relations between the UAE and Kosovo in a way that serves the common development of the two countries and achieves their mutual interests.
The meeting also touched on the World Government Summit 2026 and its importance in supporting dialogue on issues related to the present and future of development in the world, in addition to cooperation between the two countries in the field of developing government work.
During the meeting, His Highness the President affirmed the UAE’s firm approach to supporting everything that achieves peace, stability and development in the Balkan region for the benefit of all its countries and peoples and in a way that enhances peace and stability in the entire world.
For her part, Dr. Vjosa Osmani expressed her appreciation for the UAE’s positions in support of Kosovo and its qualitative development and humanitarian initiatives that have a sustainable impact on the development and empowerment of society, stressing its keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and move them to broader horizons of partnership for the good of the two countries and their peoples.
