Sharjah.. Partial closure of Al Taawun Square, starting Saturday, June 13

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority announced the partial closure of Al Taawun Street and the temporary diversion of traffic, as part of the work of the Al Taawun Tunnel Development Project at the site of the current roundabout, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the road network and enhancing the flow of traffic in the emirate.

She stated, through her official account on the “X” website, that according to the traffic diversion, the movement of vehicles heading to Dubai and Al Nahda Bridge will be diverted via Corniche Street, and the movement of vehicles coming from Al Nahda Bridge towards Sharjah will be diverted to the new Al Taawun Street, according to the approved alternative routes shown in the plan.

The traffic diversion will begin on Saturday, June 13.

The Authority called on road users to adhere to traffic diversions and approved directional signs, and to use alternative routes, in order to preserve their safety and ensure the smooth flow of traffic and reach their destinations safely and without delay.
