His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit, confirmed that the summit embodied a practical translation of the visions and directives of the UAE’s leadership in enabling governments to lead change and create opportunities, and enhance their readiness to deal with accelerating global changes, to achieve sustainable prosperity and safe passage to a more stable and advanced future for societies.

His Excellency said that the summit continued, through its global platform, to consolidate its position on the map of the most prominent international activities supporting the development of government work and the promotion of fruitful cooperation between governments and international institutions, noting that what the summit achieved through its successive sessions contributed to the formulation of many visions and government policies that reflected positively on the paths of comprehensive and sustainable development in a large number of countries in the world.

He stressed that the summit reflected the increasing importance of spaces for international dialogue and cooperation in light of the rapid transformations the world is witnessing, stressing that the World Government Summit has become a pivotal platform for promoting joint action and creative thinking, and providing innovative solutions that guarantee the sustainability of stability and prosperity, and support the continued civilizational progress of humanity.

The World Government Summit 2026, which was held in Dubai from February 3 to 5, witnessed the largest leadership participation in its history, as it brought together more than 6,250 participants from decision-makers, thought leaders and experts, with the participation of more than 60 heads of state and government and their deputies, more than 500 ministers, and representatives of more than 150 governments from different countries of the world, which strengthened its role as a comprehensive global platform for exchanging experiences and formulating common visions. For the future of government work.

In its 13th session, the Summit held more than 445 dialogue sessions, in which more than 450 international figures, including leaders, officials and experts, participated, along with more than 700 CEOs of major international institutions and companies, and 87 scientists who won prestigious international scientific awards, with the participation of more than 80 international and regional organizations and academic and research institutions, in addition to an elite group of thinkers and future visionaries.

The summit’s agenda included 25 global forums, and more than 45 ministerial and high-level meetings, focusing on five main axes that included global governance and effective leadership, societal well-being and human capacity development, economic prosperity and emerging opportunities, the future of cities and population transformations, and future prospects and upcoming opportunities, reflecting the comprehensiveness of the government vision adopted by the summit.

Within the framework of enhancing government knowledge production, the summit contributed to issuing 36 strategic reports in cooperation with international knowledge partners from think tanks and academic and research institutions. It also organized the third edition of the global survey of ministers, with the aim of anticipating development priorities, formulating more effective public policies, and supporting governments in dealing with pressing international issues.
