"Wonder religion" A hero for "Emirates Derby" Within the 2026 Dubai World Cup

Dubai, March 28 / WAM / The Japanese colt “Wonder Dean” won the title of the “Emirates Derby” race for purebred hybrid horses “Class Two”, the fourth round of the evening of the 30th Dubai World Cup 2026, which was held today at the “Meydan” International Racecourse.
“Wonder Den,” owned by Yoshinari Yamamoto, under the supervision of coach Daisuke Takayanagi and led by jockey Christian Demuro, was able to give Japan the title for the fifth year in a row, after covering the race distance of 1,900 meters on the sand track in a time of 1:59:19 minutes, beating 11 of the most prominent participating horses.
The prize money for the race amounted to one million dollars, sponsored by Jumeirah, and the champion received the first place prize of $580,000, in addition to an official qualification card to the Kentucky Derby race.
The UAE Derby is the only preparatory race that qualifies for the Kentucky Derby outside the United States, as the winner is awarded 100 points that guarantee him participation in the American race.
The British colt “Six Speed”, owned by Brunetti Dogan Stables and others, came in second place, under the supervision of trainer Bobat Simar and led by jockey Michael Barzalona, winning $200,000, while the Emirati colt “Pyromancer” by Godolphin came in third, under the supervision of Keiji Yoshimura and led by jockey James Doyle, and won $100,000.
