Rashid bin Humaid: Ajman Census 2027 is a strategic project that supports comprehensive development in the emirate

Ajman, February 10 / WAM / Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department, and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Population Census of the Emirate of Ajman, chaired the first meeting of the committee, which was held today in the government agencies building, in the presence of a number of general directors.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed during the meeting that the 2027 Ajman Census constitutes a strategic project that contributes to supporting the comprehensive development process in the emirate, noting that the availability of accurate and updated statistical data represents a basis for making sound decisions, anticipating future needs, and achieving integration between development plans.
He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between government agencies and providing the necessary requirements to ensure the success of the census in accordance with the highest standards of quality and governance.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the importance of the population census as one of the basic pillars of supporting strategic planning and sustainable development, by providing comprehensive and accurate statistical data on population, housing, and establishments, which contributes to supporting government policies, improving the efficiency of resource distribution, and raising the quality of services provided to the community.
The committee approved the general framework for implementing the census, and following up on the organizational and technical aspects related to the project, in addition to discussing the organizational structure of the Ajman census, the roles of participating entities, and institutional coordination mechanisms between partners, to ensure integration of efforts, unification of statistical data sources, and achieving the highest levels of accuracy and quality in the census outputs.
The meeting discussed the framework for implementing the population census, its main stages, the timetable, and the approved implementation tools, with an emphasis on enhancing census operations through the use of smart technologies and artificial intelligence tools, with the aim of raising the efficiency of statistical work, accelerating data processing, and improving the quality of statistical indicators, in keeping with the best internationally approved statistical practices and methodologies.
The committee also discussed the basic needs for the success of the census, including the organizational, technical and human aspects, in addition to reviewing the most prominent potential challenges associated with implementing the population census, and ways to deal with them through advance planning, intensifying institutional coordination, and applying the best technical solutions.
For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Hajar Saeed Al Hubaishi, Director General of the Ajman Statistics Center, explained that the Ajman Census relies on a modern statistical methodology based on the integration of administrative records and smart technologies, which allows the production of real-time and reliable statistical data and indicators, stressing that the Center is working to implement the best international practices in digital statistical transformation, and to ensure the quality of statistical data in all stages of the census, from collection and processing to publishing the results.
The Ajman Census project is one of the priority strategic statistical projects, the implementation of which is supervised by the Ajman Statistics Center, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the statistical system, enhance the culture of relying on data, and support decision makers with accurate and reliable information that contributes to achieving sustainable development in the Emirate of Ajman.
