Tottenham dismisses Thomas Frank…and is looking for a sixth coach in seven years!

Today, Wednesday, Tottenham Hotspur dismissed its Danish coach, Thomas Frank, less than eight months after assuming the job, the day after the loss at home to Newcastle United 1-2, a result that left the team in 16th place in the English Football League.
The North London team, which must find a sixth coach in seven years, said: “The results and performance led the board of directors to conclude that change at this stage of the season was necessary.”
The London team did not achieve any victory in its last eight matches in the league, in its worst series since October 2008.
Spurs also won only two matches in their last 17 league matches, collecting 12 points during them.
Frank, who was previously coach of Brentford, took over the leadership of Tottenham in June, succeeding the dismissed Australian Ange Postecoglou, and signed a contract until 2028.
But the Danish coach did not succeed in improving the team’s results in the league despite the good performance in European competitions.
