Djokovic withdraws from the Doha tournament “due to fatigue”

Serbian Novak Djokovic, ranked third in the world and runner-up in the Australian Open, the first of the four major tennis tournaments, withdrew from the Doha tournament in the 500 category, due to “great fatigue,” according to what the organizers announced yesterday, via “Instagram.”
Djokovic was preparing to play his first tournament since the Melbourne final, where top-seeded Spaniard Carlos Alcarras, on February 1, deprived him of the “record 25th” title in the Grand Slam tournaments.
In the absence of Djokovic, Alcarras and his direct competitor in the world rankings, the Italian Jannik Sinner, will be among the most prominent candidates for the title in the Doha tournament scheduled from 16 to 21 this month.
