15 tournaments and events in the “Ajman Government Ramadan Sports Tournament”

The Supreme Organizing Committee of the “Ajman Government Sports Tournament”, during a press conference held yesterday at Al Zorah Golf Resort and Club, revealed the details of the sixth edition of the tournament, which is being held during the holy month of Ramadan under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, and organized by the Ajman Government Human Resources Department in cooperation with the Quattro Sports Centre.
The conference was attended by the Chairman and members of the Supreme Organizing Committee, representatives of the participating entities, as well as sponsors and supporting entities, where the general framework of the session, its objectives and organizational axes were reviewed, and its sports and community program was revealed.
The head of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Ahmed Al-Raisi, confirmed that the tournament continues to consolidate the concepts of community sports, support healthy lifestyles, and enhance team spirit and positive communication among employees of government agencies, noting that holding competitions during the month of Ramadan gives the event a social and humanitarian dimension that enhances the values of convergence and rapprochement between participants and the public.
He said: “The organizing committee was keen to prepare a balanced program in terms of the quality of organization and the diversity of activities, benefiting from the successes achieved in previous editions, and in a way that ensures the provision of a professional and safe sports experience that serves the goals of the sports and community tournament.”
Al-Raisi appreciated the continuous support that the tournament receives, stressing that the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman represents a fundamental pillar in its sustainability and development, and enhancing its presence as an annual Ramadan sporting event on the emirate’s events agenda, which reflects Ajman’s interest in community sports and quality of life.
For his part, Director of Tournaments and Programs, Abdulaziz Abdullah, said that the sixth edition includes organizing 15 tournaments, events, and sports and community programs, prepared to meet the interests of a wide segment of government agency employees and community members, reflecting the breadth and development of the tournament.
He added: “The program includes football tournaments, beach volleyball, padel tennis, men’s running races, popular games, CrossFit, camel racing, and steeplechase challenges, in addition to a new electronic football tournament (PlayStation), as well as community activities that include the Ramadan village, the women’s fitness program, and Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.”
He expected the number of participants in the current edition to exceed six thousand, which reflects the growing interest and development that the course has witnessed since its launch.
In turn, the Director of Content Management at the Ajman Government Media Office, the media partner of the tournament, Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi, confirmed that the event represents an integrated model for employing sports and community events to enhance the quality of life and establish a culture of positive participation, in a Ramadan atmosphere that combines sports competition and social values.
