Mansour bin Mohammed attends the group wedding of Dubai Residency and Dubai Customs employees

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Border Security Council, attended the twelfth edition of the group wedding organized by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, “Dubai Residency,” in cooperation with Dubai Customs, at the Dubai World Trade Center, with the participation of 127 grooms, including 87 grooms from Dubai Residency employees, 34 grooms from Dubai Customs employees, and 6 grooms from Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation employees. On an occasion that reflects the values of community cohesion and institutional support for building the Emirati family.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed that investing in the stability of national cadres represents a top priority. His Highness said: The mass wedding translates the directives of the wise leadership to support the citizen and provide all the elements that guarantee him a decent and stable life and keep pace with the goals of the Year of the Family. And Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to enhance family happiness and cohesion, and support the establishment of stable and sustainable Emirati families,” His Highness pointed out that ensuring the social and psychological stability of the employee is an important requirement to enhance his giving and excellence in serving his country.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, Director General of the General Department of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, and Director General of Dubai Customs Dr. Abdullah Busnad, along with a number of senior officials and leaders from both sides.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri stressed that the group wedding embodies the UAE’s approach to supporting young people and relieving them, pointing out that such initiatives contribute to enhancing the quality of life of employees and consolidating the values of solidarity and social responsibility, in line with the goals of the Year of the Family, and help young people build stable families that contribute to supporting sustainable development and enhancing social and economic stability.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Busnad stressed that organizing the mass wedding comes in line with the department’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s directions in the Year of the Family 2026, which focuses on strengthening family cohesion, empowering youth, and improving the quality of family life, in line with the state’s vision of building a more stable and prosperous society. His Excellency explained that this initiative represents a practical translation of the year’s goals by providing direct support to young people and assisting them in starting their married lives with confidence and stability.
He pointed out that Dubai Social Agenda 33 constitutes an integrated strategic framework that enhances social well-being through specific initiatives targeting the family as the nucleus of society. His Excellency added that the mass wedding is consistent with this agenda by alleviating the financial burdens on young people, consolidating the values of solidarity and cooperation, and supporting family stability, which is the basis of social and economic development in the emirate.
He pointed out that Dubai Customs implemented the mass wedding initiative 12 times over the past years, which reflects the department’s continued commitment to supporting its employees, enhancing their family stability, and establishing a culture of social responsibility in the work environment.
He stressed that the continued implementation of the initiative with this momentum reflects its success and positive impact in empowering young people and providing them with a supportive environment at the beginning of their married life.
The newlyweds congratulated the participants, wishing them a happy and stable married life, and praising the efforts of the supporting parties that contributed to the success of this distinguished community event, which embodies Dubai’s vision of supporting the family, empowering youth, and enhancing community cohesion.
Organizing the group wedding comes as a continuation of the strategic cooperation approach in implementing community initiatives, as this event, throughout its previous editions, has formed an annual platform to support Emirati youth and promote authentic social values, in line with Dubai’s aspirations for a future based on a balance between authenticity and the requirements of the times.
