Fujairah International Airport demonstrates its operational readiness by receiving 15 diverted flights

Fujairah, February 11 / WAM / Fujairah International Airport received 15 diverted flights belonging to several different airline companies, as a result of the bad weather conditions witnessed by some airports in the country and the region, which necessitated the diversion of flight paths to Fujairah International Airport as a safe alternative destination.

The work teams at the airport dealt with these flights with high efficiency and readiness, by activating the approved emergency plans and immediately coordinating with the relevant authorities, airlines and ground service providers, to ensure the smooth flow of operations and the safety of passengers and air crews.

This event consolidates the growing position of Fujairah International Airport as a strategic airport with advanced infrastructure and qualified national competencies, capable of managing air operations with high efficiency and flexibility, thus enhancing its role in supporting the civil aviation system in the country.

His Excellency Captain Ismail Mohammed Al Balushi, Director General of Fujairah International Airport, confirmed that the airport’s success in receiving and managing diverted flights reflects the high level of operational readiness and the professionalism of the work teams in ensuring safety and efficiency in all circumstances, stressing the airport’s continued commitment to supporting the country’s aviation system in accordance with the highest international standards.
