المملكة: A package of modern technologies enhances the accuracy of campaign work "Distinctive, safe methods"
Revealed General Authority of Roads for a package of New technologies being used for the first time in a campaign "Distinctive, safe methods" In its sixth season, which aims to raise the level of safety and maintenance on the road network in various regions of the Kingdom, by conducting accurate surveys and comprehensive assessments in accordance with the highest international standards.
The authority explained that the campaign launched by Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, witnessed the introduction "Control room" A sophisticated device that monitors survey and evaluation work in the field and in real time, as the room allows analyzing huge data and directing processing and maintenance teams very quickly, ensuring efficient performance and quality of outputs.
Mobile digital photogrammetry equipment
As part of its endeavor to enhance the accuracy of monitoring, the Authority used "Mobile digital photogrammetry equipment"dedicated to monitoring non-pavement road elements with high accuracy, which include information signs, ground markings, fences, and lighting poles, which contributes to preserving the urban appearance and the safety of road users.
The new technologies also included a system "Mobile paint reflectivity measurement"which works to evaluate the clarity of ground paints and their effectiveness in night vision and different weather conditions, without the need to affect the flow of traffic or close lanes.
Surveying the road network outside the urban area
The campaign targets "Distinctive, safe methods" Survey of the road network outside the urban area, with the participation of more than 620 members representing several government agencies and university students, distributed among 61 field teams, as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to achieve the objectives of the road sector strategy that focuses on safety and quality.
