Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi inaugurates the Sharjah Heritage Days activities in Khor Fakkan
SHARJAH, 14TH FEBRUARY/WAM/ Yesterday evening, Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler in Khor Fakkan, opened the activities of the twenty-third session of Sharjah Heritage Days, which is organized by the Sharjah Heritage Institute under the slogan “The Glow of Authenticity”. The opening was attended by His Excellency Abu Bakr Al Kindi, Director of the Institute, along with officials and notables of the region and a large audience of visitors who came to enjoy activities that reflect the depth and authenticity of the Emirati heritage.
The old Zubarah neighborhood hosted the celebrations, after it was chosen to revive historical areas and highlight the values of authenticity and national identity as part of ongoing efforts to preserve the cultural heritage and enhance its societal presence.
The activities include performances by popular bands, live heritage workshops, exhibitions for craftsmen and productive families, in addition to personal museums documenting the details of ancient life in the region.
Sharjah Heritage Days in Khor Fakkan continues to consolidate its position as a cultural platform that contributes to strengthening national identity and the values of belonging among generations in a scene that embodies the presence of heritage in the nation’s memory.
