"EuroLeague": Dubai Basketball is one step away from qualifying for the playoffs

SARAJEVO, April 3, 2017 (WAM) – The European Basketball League (EuroLeague) confirmed that the Dubai Basketball team’s recent victory over French Monaco put it back in the competition for qualifying cards to the knockout rounds, in its first season in the competition.

Dubai’s victory came with a score of 101-91 in the match that brought them together, yesterday, in the 35th round of the 2025-2026 season, enhancing its chances with three matches remaining until the end of the league.

The team raised its score to 18 wins compared to 17 losses, making it only one victory away from entering the top ten list, in light of the intense competition for the qualifying positions.

The association indicated that this result, in addition to Red Star Belgrade’s loss to Partizan Belgrade, contributed to reducing the gap with direct competitors, and gave Dubai a strong boost in the qualification race.

The team is awaiting three decisive matches during the month of April, as it will meet with Zalgiris Kaunas, Lithuania, on April 7, then Fenerbahce, Turkey, on April 10, before concluding its matches against Valencia, Spain, on April 17, in a decisive stage to determine who qualifies for the knockout rounds.
