"Dubai Chess" Organizes a tournament "Loyalty to Zayed" With the participation of an elite group of international performers
DUBAI, 15 FEBRUARY / WAM / The annual Loyalty to Zayed Championship, organized annually by the Dubai Chess Club during the period from 20 to 22 February, will begin at the Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Hall, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, with wide participation from title-holding and internationally ranked players from the country and resident communities.
Saeed Youssef, Secretary-General of the club, confirmed that the tournament represents an annual event that brings together the chess family to celebrate this occasion, noting that it comes within a program full of activities and competitions organized by the club during the holy month, and a continuation of its approach extending for more than 20 years in commemorating the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and promoting the values of loyalty in the Emirati, Arab and international chess family.
He explained that the current edition is witnessing distinguished participation from internationally ranked players and title holders, who are keen to attend this event annually.
