المملكة: Human Resources: Transferring 100,000 security beneficiaries from “need” to “production”

The Ministry brought about a radical change in the concept of Social Security, which moved approximately 100,000 beneficiaries from the circle of need to the horizons of production and economic independence, through employment, rehabilitation, and entrepreneurial project support.

Affordable digital cards

The Kingdom recorded global excellence in caring for people with disabilities, as the Ministry was crowned with the Digital Government Excellence Award for the Digital Inclusion Initiative, which served more than 850,000 beneficiaries through accessible digital cards for services.

The annual statistics revealed It provided cash financial aid to more than 470,000 beneficiaries with disabilities, while more than 120,000 people benefited from the decision to fully exempt visa fees for domestic and nursing support workers.

The Ministry provided advanced quality services through its unified application, which included requesting an immediate sign language interpreter and a visual guide for the blind, in addition to a digital tool to identify appropriate places, which enhances the independence of this group and their integration into society.

And on In terms of rehabilitative care, day care centers provided their services to 43,000 beneficiaries, distributing specific medical devices to more than 14,000 people, and providing comprehensive home care to more than 650 families.

With regard to the orphans file, national strategies succeeded in employing 80% of orphans seeking work, and qualifying more than 3,200 young men and women for the labor market in cooperation with the private and non-profit sectors.

Social Responsibility

The sector witnessed Social responsibility has taken a major leap, as the percentage of major companies adopting community programs has risen to 72%, coinciding with the organization of the International Forum for Social Responsibility and the launch of the National Award for Companies.

The Ministry has strengthened the cooperative sector, bringing the total number of cooperative societies to 558 geographically distributed, and has also launched the general policy for youth development to enhance the participation of the rising generation in the development movement.

The Ministry has introduced quality digital services for the elderly, most notably the “Imtiaz” card, which gives them priority. And discounts, with the launch of the digital inclusion service for elderly security beneficiaries to facilitate their access to support.
