Empowering national competencies and flexibility of legislation is the basis for building a more sustainable economy

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, visited yesterday the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, where he was received by the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, and senior officials from the two ministries.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the achievements made by the UAE labor market, the results of the Emiratization process, and the innovative solutions led by the Ministry to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the work system, which reflect accelerated growth and increasing confidence in the country’s business environment, supported by a flexible legislative system and an advanced digital infrastructure that keeps pace with global transformations in work patterns and the digital economy. His Highness was briefed on the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation’s plans for the next stage.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the positive growth indicators achieved by the labor market reflect the clarity of the national vision and the success of the policies adopted that put people at the heart of priorities.
His Highness explained that empowering national competencies, enhancing the flexibility of legislation, and integrating the digital system constitute a basic path to building a more flexible and sustainable economy.
His Highness appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in developing specific policies and initiatives, and His Highness praised the integration between government agencies and the private sector, considering that this harmony enhances the competitiveness of the labor market, establishes an advanced national model in managing development, and achieving its strategic goals.
His Highness listened to a detailed explanation about the most prominent development initiatives and projects implemented by the Ministry to regulate the labor market, specifically the digital system that relies on employing artificial intelligence, to raise the efficiency of management and governance of the UAE labor market, and to improve customer experience and be proactive in providing services to business sectors in the country, which contributes to establishing a balanced and sustainable work environment that supports the competitiveness of the national economy, in cooperation with the Ministry’s strategic partners from federal and local government agencies and the private sector, which is witnessing significant growth, whether in the number of companies or their workers.
The visit included a presentation of the “Emirates Skills” platform, which was developed in cooperation between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which anticipates the future of economic sectors and identifies the skills required for future jobs.
His Highness also listened to the most prominent achievements and projects of the partnership between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to prepare qualified national cadres capable of leading the sectors of the future and supporting the sustainable development process in the country, especially through programs aimed at developing the higher education system, enhancing the quality of academic outputs, and linking them to the needs of the labor market and the requirements of future jobs and skills.
For his part, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar expressed his thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his pride in His Highness’s visit to the Ministry, which reflects the wise leadership’s keenness to develop the work system, enhance the competitiveness of the labor market in the country, and the nationalization process, in keeping with the comprehensive development process, and strengthening the UAE’s position as an ideal global destination for work, living, and investment.
