المملكة: For men and women.. Launching electronic registration for seclusion in the Two Holy Mosques


The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced the start date for registration for those wishing to perform the Sunnah In the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, for men and women, during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH, through its official website dedicated to serving Qasidi and facilitating their procedures.

The Authority explained that the application deadline will officially begin on Friday, Ramadan 3, 1447 AH, specifically at 11:00 am.

It indicated that will begin in the last ten days of the holy month, specifically from the 20th of Ramadan 1447 AH, and will continue until the end of the month on the 30th of Ramadan 1447 AH, to enable those in seclusion to devote themselves to worship in a prepared faith and spiritual atmosphere.

Steps for submitting the application

The Authority has specified a clear and easy mechanism for registration that includes several sequential steps; You begin by logging in via the electronic link and logging in or creating a new account, with the option of quick entry through the National Unified Access Portal (Nafath) available to citizens and residents.

After that, the applicant chooses his preferred location for itikaf, whether in the corridors of the Grand Mosque in Mecca or the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.

Reviewing and accepting applications

The next stage requires explicit approval of the terms and controls regulating itikaf, and then completing the accurate entry of the required personal data. And submit the application.

The procedures conclude with the screening stage, where the concerned authorities review all submitted applications according to the capacity available in the Two Holy Mosques, provided that those accepted and candidates for I’tikaf are officially notified through short text messages (SMS) that reach their registered phones to confirm acceptance.
