Lara Trump does not rule out members of the president’s family running for political office

Fox News presenter Lara Trump did not rule out any political ambitions for the US President’s family. During her appearance on the “Pod Force One” program, which is broadcast by the New York Post on her channel, President Eric Trump’s daughter-in-law said that running for president or Congress in the future is “something that I think might interest many family members.”
Lara added in recently published comments: “I know the Democrats would love to hear this… that the matter may not end with Donald Trump alone.” She continued: “But I think the timing must be right for all of us.”
Her response came after anchor Miranda Devine asked whether the president’s children, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., or Lara herself had ever thought about running for president.
Senate
Lara said that she had previously considered running separately for the Senate, including in North Carolina during the 2022 elections, and the upcoming midterm elections this year, in addition to Florida after moving to the state with her family. She added: “I have watched him (President Donald Trump) over the past 11 years, almost 12 years now, and I have seen the impact he has been able to make in people’s lives,” adding: “It is amazing,” stressing that the president “dealt with very difficult problems,” and she saw “the positive thing that can be done.”
Lara continued: “It really inspired me, and I think it inspired everyone in our family, to the point that I thought about running for a seat in the Senate, so I will never say no to anything.”
She confirmed that she “will think of something if the timing is right,” adding: “I do not know what that will be or what opportunities may await me.”
When asked about the president’s reaction to her possible candidacy, Lara replied, “I don’t think I’ve ever had more support than my father-in-law in running for a Senate seat.” “In fact, he would call me several times a week with a number of people from different backgrounds and say, ‘This person thinks you’d be great. You should do this,'” she said.
Presidency
Neither Donald Trump Jr. nor Eric Trump have indicated whether they intend to run for president in the future, but both appear to be keeping their options open.
Last May, Donald Trump Jr. said about his future presidential candidacy: “I don’t know, maybe one day, you know, that invitation will come.”
He added: “I think my father really changed the Republican Party, and no matter how you look at it, the party is now the party of America First,” referring to the “Make America Great Again Movement” that his father leads. About “Daily Mirror”
Easy way
Eric Trump, the son of US President Donald Trump, said that he sees an “easy” path for his family to remain in power, as he hinted that he seeks to assume a political position once his father’s term in the White House ends.
He added to the Financial Times: “The real question is: Do you want to bring other members of your family into this?” In contrast, the president has repeatedly raised the idea of nominating Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the 2028 elections.
. Lara Trump confirmed that she has the support of her father-in-law in running for a seat in the Senate.
