Abdullah bin Zayed meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam in Washington

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Hoi Trung, on the sidelines of His Highness’s participation in the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council held in Washington.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, and prospects for developing joint cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.
During the meeting, opportunities for expanding cooperation and partnership frameworks in a number of vital sectors, including economic, trade and investment, were reviewed.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the growing relations with Vietnam, stressing the UAE’s commitment to its firm approach based on building bridges of cooperation and partnerships and consolidating relations based on mutual respect and common interests, which contributes to achieving prosperity and development in the region and the world.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and reviewed the importance of the role of the Peace Council in supporting multilateral action and enhancing dialogue and coordination in a way that contributes to consolidating security and stability, and achieving sustainable development at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was attended by the UAE Ambassador to the United States of America, Yousef Mana Al Otaiba.
