Abdullah bin Zayed meets with the US Secretary of the Treasury in Washington

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States of America, Scott Bessent, as part of His Highness’s visit to Washington and his participation in the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council.
During the meeting, the paths of the strategic partnership between the UAE and the United States in all sectors were discussed, especially with the approaching one-year anniversary of the UAE’s announcement of investments worth $1.4 trillion in the American economy over 10 years.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the strategic relations linking the UAE with the friendly United States of America are based on a long history of cooperation and constructive work, noting that the two countries are keen to continue developing this distinguished partnership in a way that enhances growth opportunities and supports their vision of achieving sustainable economic prosperity.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the regional and international situation, and the importance of intensifying joint action to support stability in the Middle East region and maintain international peace and security.
The meeting was attended by the UAE Ambassador to the United States of America, Yousef Mana Al Otaiba.
