The Documentation House adopts the Sharjah Heritage Institute’s private documents management system

Sharjah, February 24 / WAM / Today, the Sharjah Documentation House signed the adoption of the private documents management system for the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, in continuation of the process of institutional cooperation between the two sides to ensure the collection, preservation and organization of the Institute’s paper and electronic documents in accordance with the best international standards and practices and in a manner consistent with the privacy of the heritage and cultural documents that the Institute specializes in.

The accreditation was signed by Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Documentation House, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Muslim, President of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, in the presence of His Excellency Salah Salem Al Mahmoud, Director General of the House, His Excellency Abu Bakr Al Kindi, Director of the Institute, and a number of officials from both sides.

Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi praised the great efforts made by the cadres of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage during the various stages of preparing and approving the system, stressing that this cooperation reflects the Institute’s keenness to preserve the cultural heritage of the emirate and preserve it for future generations using modern scientific and methodological methods, indicating that documenting this cognitive and human heritage requires specialized systems that take into account its specificity and value.

He explained that implementing the system in accordance with the Institute’s documents constitutes a model of institutional integration between government agencies and contributes to enhancing the quality of performance and organization of work and raising the document management system to advanced levels in a way that enhances Sharjah’s position in the field of heritage preservation.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam stressed that the adoption of this system represents a strategic step in the Institute’s journey towards documenting and preserving the cultural and heritage heritage of the Emirate of Sharjah. Through this system, we seek to protect the national memory and place it in an institutional framework that guarantees its sustainability and ease of access in accordance with the highest international standards and in a manner befitting Sharjah’s status as an incubator of authentic heritage.

He pointed out that cooperation with the Documentation House in the Emirate of Sharjah embodies the spirit of joint work aimed at developing the institutional work system. We have been keen to implement this system in a specialized and precise manner so that it is fully compatible with the nature of the unique heritage and cultural documents that it contains. The primary goal is to create a safe and sustainable documentary environment for manuscripts and documents, both paper and electronic, to ensure their protection from damage or loss, and to preserve them as an authentic reference for future generations.

The Documentation House in the Emirate of Sharjah continues its efforts to develop the document management system for government agencies, and the adoption of the Sharjah Heritage Institute’s private documents management system comes as an extension of the House’s approach to consolidating institutional integration to preserve the memory of the Emirate of Sharjah by adopting specialized systems and providing technical and advisory support in line with best international practices and enhancing the efficiency of document preservation and preservation.
