Dibba Municipality intensifies its monitoring campaigns to ensure public health and consumer protection

Fujairah, February 24 / WAM / The Municipality of Dibba announced the implementation of a series of intensive inspection and monitoring campaigns targeting various health and food facilities and sales outlets in the city, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the public health system and ensure the facilities’ compliance with municipal requirements and standards approved in the Emirate of Fujairah.

The municipal inspectors team carried out 160 inspection tours targeting beauty centers to ensure that the highest health safety standards and regulatory requirements were applied to ensure the provision of safe services to the public.

Inspection teams also intensified their oversight of food establishments by carrying out 428 inspection tours by visiting popular kitchens, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and supermarkets, in addition to roasters and mills.

These tours focused on verifying the quality of the food supplies offered, their storage methods, and the extent of workers’ compliance with the necessary health and environmental requirements.

The municipality’s monitoring plan included periodic visits to major sales outlets and commercial complexes, to monitor any violations related to regulatory and consumer requirements, ensure the protection of consumer rights, and provide a safe shopping environment that conforms to specifications.

In this context, His Excellency Engineer Hassan Salem Al Yamahi, Director General of Dibba Municipality, confirmed that these campaigns come within the framework of the municipality’s keenness to preserve the health and safety of the community.

He explained that the municipality continues to carry out its monitoring rounds on a regular and sudden basis, stressing that all necessary legal measures will be taken against non-compliant establishments, with the aim of raising the level of compliance and achieving the highest quality standards in the services provided to residents and visitors of the city.
